Offered up for sale here is a 1987 Ferrari Mondial. Getting its name from the classic 1950’s race-car the Mondial is Ferrari’s last V8 Mid engined 2+2. First released in 1980 with a smaller 3.0 litre engine which was later updated to the larger and more powerful 3.2 litre engine in 1985. Production of the 3.2 ended in 1988 with only 987 cars believed to of ever left the factory. Being a pre 1988 vehicle the drivtrain is shared with the earlier 308. This means that vital service items can be be carried out without having to completely remove the engine and gearbox. The Mondial must be one of the most underappreciated vehicles in the car market today and offers tremendous value for money. A 1980’s mid engined Ferrari for under £40,000 is unheard of.
This particular car is presented in Argento Nurburg Silver, with a Nero Black full Leather interior. A timing belt and inspection service was carried out in November 2015 by a leading Surrey-based Ferrari specialist at a cost of £2,000. The car has covered very limited mileage since this date whilst being dry stored. Before leaving our workshop the car will be serviced and inspected once again. This Mondial coupe is an import from the extremely car friendly climate of Japan, The vehicle is complete with the more popular Ferrari 348 wheels, a chirpy but not overloud Sports Exhaust and an Original Leather service pouch. With a mere 37,400 miles on the clock the car is barely run in and ready for the open road. The folder included has several Japanese maintenance records from throughout the vehicles life.
This Ferrari is ready to be enjoyed and used. A rare low mileage 3.2 coupe in very original condition. The car looks and goes just as it should, the Ferrari V8 power plant provides plenty of power and the car holds the road just as any Italian sports car should!
