Offered up for sale here is the perfect opportunity to get into one of the best examples of a RHD UK market 280SL Pagoda. This Pagoda is offered up for sale in its current state ready for a customer to take on and finish the project. As a RHD automatic 280SL this is the most desirable variant of the chassis platform. The car in its current state has already had well over 1500 man hours committed to ensure the body shell is of the highest standard. The starting vehicle was a great base for a restoration and in comparison to many other RHD cars we have worked on it was in very good shape in fact. The shell was first acid dipped to entirely removed the rust and reveal the damage caused. Any corrosion was dealt with and brand new genuine Mercedes-Benz panels were used throughout the body restoration. Once the repairs had been made the car was E-coated, flooding, coating and protecting all of the box sections from the inside out. Every panel on this Pagoda is arrow straight and without a single imperfection. All of the panel gaps are perfectly even, our highly experienced panel beaters take pride in every vehicle and settle for nothing less than perfection. The shell was then painted in house in period correct 124 G Arabian grey . All of the components for the car have been fully refurbished including chrome, wood work and the correct yellow zinc passivating of all fixings and clips. Once completed the car will be as good if not better than when it left the factory back in 1968. The final specification and interior colour can be chosen by the new owner, it is also not too late for a full colour change if an alternative colour was desired. This car is complete with its original hardtop which can be painted either to match the bodywork or an alternative contrasting colour subject to a customers personal preference.
