Here at Hilton and Moss we are very lucky to have a collection of fantastic barn find classic Jaguar and Austin models. The story behind unearthing these great cars started when the clients father sadly passed away and his collection was left unused and stored away in the families garages. Kept in the dry over the years they have worked well as storage shelves for furniture, garden tools and even a cat cage holder, a rather unusual E Type accessory!
The classic collection consists of a Jaguar E Type 2+2 with the last road tax stating 1995, a Jaguar MK2 3.8 last used over ten years ago and two very rare Austin A-90 Atlantics stored since the 1980s.
The Jaguar E Type was used daily by the previous owner and was even being driven reguarly well into his eighties. On initial inspection this 2+2 model is a very solid starting base for restoration. The Mark 2 Jaguar with sought after 3.8 engine is in need of slightly more thorough tender loving care with some previous repair attempts quite obvious in our Facebook page video, a job for our Jaguar restoration specialists. Lastly the contemporary styled Austin Atlantics designed at a time when Austin were being pushed for export sales, with only a low number being produced over the two and a half year production run. There is estimated to be under 60 cars left making them very rare cars indeed. Our Atlantics require full restorations.
