Description
This stunning 1952 Mercedes-Benz 300s Cabriolet 'A' was formerly part of a Midwest collection for over 35 years. It received in the mid-1980s a full rotisserie restoration and thereafter was driven just 900 miles. Showing signs of deterioration due to little use it was again commissioned for a total disassembly and bare-metal repaint in the USA. In addition, the car received a new interior, new Carpathian Elm woodwork and a new canvas top, with truly outstanding results evident throughout. The car also comes complete with its original fitted luggage, tools and jack. Our project brief was to improve cosmetically & mechanically to preserve the car to as original as standard as possible. Our customer is a keen collector & enjoys driving his collection and intends to show the car at UK & European concours events. We are pleased to report that the 300s was twice shown at Goodwood and was very well received.
