Description
The R107 took the chassis components of the midsize Mercedes-Benz W114 model, The SL variant was a 2-seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top and optional hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. In October 1974, and in almost perfect timing in the aftermath of the 1973 energy crisis, the SL was expanded to receive the excellent 2.8-litre twin-cam to create the 280SL. Given that certain buyers were downsizing, and existing Pagoda owners greeted the new 280SL warmly, it's no surprise that the six-cylinder roadster went on to sell so well. This particular SL was first registered on the Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, it came to the UK shores in 2011, The service history booklet has 21 Main Dealer and Specialist service stamps. Making it an idea useable and economical convertible complete with factory hardtop. Part exchange welcome. Competitive finance available. **viewing by appointment only**Specification
