Concours of Elegance Hampton Court Palace
The classic car season resumed with a fantastic weekend at Hampton Court Palace, and the eleventh running of the Concours of Elegance. Now a firm entry in the diary for every classic car enthusiasts, the Concours at the Palace draws in a superb selection of vehicles, owners and specialist dealers from all corners of the globe.
Hilton & Moss were once again proudly in attendance, with our biggest display yet! With 5 vehicles on display, guests had a real variety to get stuck in to.
First of all, and central to our display was the ex-Dick Emery Aston Martin DB5. Raised on plinths, the DB5 commanded attention to all passers by, with it's presence not going unnoticed. This exquisite, completely restored example shone in the sun all weekend and is now on display in our Showrooms.
Continuing the Aston Martin theme was the Aston Martin V8 'Oscar India' that is currently for sale with Hilton & Moss. Fully restored less than 600 miles ago, the car is a time capsule of 1980s motoring. Presented in the captivating Salisbury Blue, with cream interior, the muscular body lines provided a stark contrast to it's modern day counterparts.
Showcasing Hilton & Moss' restoration abilities, was a mid-restoration Mercedes Pagoda 280SL. Fully painted, the body shell of this Pagoda made a clear statement, informing all of our ability to restore not just Mercedes, but Jaguar and Aston Martin models also. Finished in a deep black, the paintwork stood out all weekend, with many visitors complimenting the finish.
Keeping to the restoration theme, our unrestored early Jaguar E-Type Series 1 was on display as a 'ready to restore' vehicle. A perfect base for anyone looking to build the E-Type of their dreams.
The final car in our display, was a race prepared Jaguar E-Type 'Semi-Lightweight' that had just arrived at the Showroom prior to the event, and is now for sale with Hilton & Moss. Accompanying the Jaguar was it's spare racing engine, fully built and ready to race. This provided an additional insight into the vehicle, as well as the capabilities of Hilton & Moss experienced team.
We thoroughly enjoyed the event, and look forward to attending for the 12th Edition in 2024.
