A Piece of Hilton & Moss History
This fabulous 1957 Mercedes Benz 300SL Roadster was restored by Hilton & Moss during a 3,500 hour, nut and bolt restoration. The car is now being offered for sale by globally renowned auction house RM Sotheby's, via their Private Sales division.
Soon after arriving in the UK, Hilton & Moss were entrusted to carry out the restoration, taking advantage of our vast Mercedes-Benz experience. With no area of the car left untouched, the car was fully stripped to bare metal and returned to an 'as-new' condition, finished in DB172 Anthracite Grey over a contrast Red Leather interior.
Upon completion, the Roadster featured at the 2017 edition of Salon Prive, where the car came Second-in-Class. Further maintained by Hilton & Moss, the car remains to be a fantastic example of Hilton & Moss' ability to restore these fantastic and intricate marvels of period engineering.
