A Celebration of Automotive Excellence at the 2024 London Concours
The Honourable Artillery Company lawns played host to a three-day extravaganza of automotive excellence at this year's London Concours. Over 80 of the world's most prestigious, rare, and coveted cars were on display, with each day dedicated to a specific automotive icon: the legendary McLaren, the timeless Jaguar E-Type, and finally, a day dedicated to breathtaking supercars.
Hilton & Moss Makes a Grand Showing
Being the UK's leading Mercedes-Benz restoration specialists, we chose to celebrate 70 years of the iconic Mercedes-Benz SL, showcasing three stunning models: an expertly restored 190SL, a rare 280SL "California" edition, and our recently restored 300SL Roadster.
Our presence extended beyond our SL display as we represented a valued client in the Zagato Class with two phenomenal Aston Martin Vanquish Zagatos, both personally judged by Andrea Zagato himself as part of the Coachbuilt Zagato Class. Finally, we added a touch of British racing heritage with a newly restored Jaguar XK-120 competition car displayed in the Great British Racing Class.
Award-Winning Expertise
Our expertise wasn't limited to showcasing exceptional vehicles. Hilton & Moss General Manager, William Garrett, had the esteemed honour of judging the Enlightened: All about the Aero Class. After careful consideration, the judging panel awarded first place to a meticulously maintained, and period-upgraded, 1973 De Tomaso Pantera GTS Group 4, a remarkable example with a mere 13,000 miles from new.
Sponsoring Greatness
Finally, we had the distinct pleasure of sponsoring and presenting the winner's trophy and runner-up awards for the Great British Racing Class, with the top honour going to a phenomenal ex-Le Mans Silk Cut Jaguar. Furthermore, the Chairman of the Judge’s pick of the show was the Hesketh 308E, also presented in the Great British Racing class.
Looking Forward
Overall we had a fantastic three days of reconnecting with valued clients, forging new relationships with passionate enthusiasts, and witnessing some of the most incredible cars ever built. We look forward to returning next year to be part of this prestigious automotive celebration once again.
