Two top-10 finishes at Donington Historic Festival 2025
We had an unforgettable weekend at the 2025 Donington Historic Festival, one of the most anticipated events on the historic motorsport calendar. The festival, renowned for its electric atmosphere and stunning array of classic race cars, was the perfect setting for Hilton & Moss to showcase not only our passion for heritage motorsport but also the performance and preparation of our race team.
Taking to the track in two fiercely competitive races, we were proud to represent Hilton & Moss with our pre-’63 Jaguar E-Type OTS and our ever-popular Lister Knobbly. The Jaguar E-Type, campaigned in the HMRN Pre-63 GT race, was shared by William Garrett and Tim Crighton. Despite a challenging grid position of P11, both drivers showed real determination and consistency throughout the gruelling hour-long race, pushing the car to its limits and steadily climbing the field to bring it home in a respectable P9 finish. It was a true testament to the team's preparation and the drivers' skill, with the E-Type performing beautifully under pressure.
In the combined RAC Woodcote Trophy & Stirling Moss Trophy, Tim Crighton returned to the track solo in our Lister Knobbly. The competition was intense, with a field packed with period-correct sports cars and experienced drivers. Tim’s drive was nothing short of spectacular, combining finesse with outright pace to bring the Lister home in an impressive P4 overall. The result was a real highlight of the weekend and a great reward for the effort that goes into running these historic machines.
As ever, Donington Park delivered a thrilling weekend of racing, camaraderie, and shared appreciation for classic motorsport. A huge thank you to the organisers, competitors, and everyone who came out to support us across the weekend. We’re already counting down the days until we return to Donington Park in July for the Donington Park Equipe – we hope to see you there!
