1962 Jaguar E-Type S1 FHC 3.8

Description

This beautiful 1962 Jaguar E-Type FHC was securely collected by the Hilton & Moss transport team after a major engine failure. Our expert technicians dismantled the straight-six 3.8-litre ‘XK’ engine and diagnosed the failure before a full engine rebuild was completed.

All of our engines are extensively ‘dyno’ tested before being refitted into the car. This ensures perfect tuning and running can be achieved with any small faults rectified ahead of the installation back into the vehicle. Upon completion, the car was carefully road-tested by our senior technicians to ensure perfect driveability.

Whilst the car was with us we attended to a variety of other small areas for concern on this Jaguar, including new anti-roll bar bushes, four-wheel alignment and a full major service and checkover. At this time we fitted a brand new ‘Dyanator’ which offers modern charging performance with an authentic classic appearance.

The Hilton & Moss team have a passion for Jaguar cars and of course the E-Type. Our vast knowledge and experience includes full concours level restorations down to the most basic service and maintenance needs.
