Description
This Jaguar E-Type represents the highest quality restoration achievable, completed in-house at the Hilton & Moss facility.
This 1963 Jaguar E-Type FHC coupe carries a fantastic story. First registered in the UK on a desirable Coventry registration but specified in LHD by its first owner, this Jaguar was always destined for export to the US. The car then spent most of its life in dry US states before being re-imported to the UK in more recent years by the Hilton & Moss.
The Jaguar was then sold and fully restored by our team for a private client. Throughout the restoration, retaining originality was paramount due to how untouched this E-Type was. The dry US conditions had preserved the car and panels thus meaning panel fabrication was kept to a minimum and original welds, features and markings could be retained. The car went through our detailed multi-stage body restoration and was returned to its original colour of Opalescent Golden Sand over a red hide interior. From the panel work to the full interior re-trim, the entire project was managed and completed in-house by our team of expert restoration technicians.
Usability was vital on this project with the client opting for the discreet installation of power steering and a 5-speed gearbox. This vehicle has since been inspected by one of the UK’s top E-Type club judges and it was remarked as one of the finest examples seen.
