Offered up for sale we have this very charming 1971 Porsche 914/4 presented in Canary yellow with a black leatherette interior. The Porsche 914 was the product of a unique collaboration between Porsche and Volkswagen with production starting in 1969 and finishing in 1976. Assembled in Stuttgart this mid-engine rear wheel drive sports car was one of a kind, the fuel injected 1.7 litre engine produced a modest 80BHP and its central location provided excellent handling which was further aided by the fully independent suspension all round. With its removable Targa roof and a new Dansk sports silencer the car provides an enjoyable sporty driving experience. The cars chrome and paintwork have received a well-deserved refresh complimenting its highly original and unmolested condition. Alongside this the car is fresh from a recent mechanical overhaul which included the addition of brand-new rear shock absorbers to further add to this car’s desirable portfolio. After spending 46 years of its life in the dry state of California the car is offered in a rust-free condition with all original panels and factory seams visible throughout. The car appears to of never been welded or repaired making it incredibly unique as an unrestored 914. This is a rare opportunity to obtain what could be one of the most original 914’s on the market today. This particular car was also fitted from factory with the ‘Appearance pack’ which included fog lights, chrome bumpers, vinyl pillars and a leather steering wheel. This is a great addition which really transforms the cars aesthetics. Accompanying the car is a Porsche certificate of authenticity verifies the vehicles identity and provenance.
