Hilton and Moss are delighted to bring this beautiful Mercedes-Benz R107 500SL to the market for the first time in over thirty years. The R107 series Mercedes-Benz was first released in 1971 with production running for almost 18 years and finally ceasing in 1989. During this time the models ran from the entry level 280SL up to the biggest available UK engine car being the V8 powered 500SL. The R107 was the replacement for the ever-popular W113 Pagoda and was an instant global success with over 200,000 thousand cars sold.

This particular R107 500SL is an incredibly special car being originally supplied in 1985 by Greyfords Mercedes Benz of London and being supplied in the rare two-tone colour scheme of Silver over Anthracite. After changing owners in its early life the car was purchased in 1988 as an approved used car from Mercedes-Benz dealer Puttocks of Guildford by the cars last fastidious owner, who maintained her to the highest standards and always ensured the car was garaged when not in use. This has helped preserve the condition of this special vehicle and ensured the common rust issues are not present. The interior and exterior condition of this SL are truly fabulous whilst the chrome work is both bright and corrosion free. The interior has very little sign of wear with no rips, tears or discoloration, and retains its original working Blaupunkt radio cassette player. The cars original hardtop is present and in great condition as is the soft top.

This SL has covered a mere 66,200 miles from new and has one of the most comprehensive service, maintenance and MOT history’s that we have ever seen. The cars service intervals can be seen below of which the majority were carried out by either Mercedes-Benz main dealers or recognised specialists. Invoices for all of the work completed have been retained along with every MOT certificate dating back to 1991 verifying the fabulous mileage.
