The R129 series was first revealed at the Geneva Motor show and produced from 1989 up until 2001 with a variety of engine choices and revisions through the years. Thought by many as being the last ‘classic’ SL the R129 series is becoming an increasingly more desirable ‘future classic’ by the day if not a classic already! Heavily revised from the earlier R107 SL’s the R129 was fitted with an advanced multilink rear axle and adaptive damping suspension. This combination resulted in the revolutionary silky smooth ride quality enthusiasts all know and love.

This stunning Mercedes SL280 was originally registered in 1999 and is finished in Brilliant Silver over black leather with a black soft top and an original body coloured hard top. A low ownership car which has clearly been cherished throughout its life, this car presents beautifully and really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The condition is fabulous and the bodywork is straight with even shut lines between all of the panels. Accompanying the car is a large and comprehensive history file which containing both the original book pack together with a large number of invoices pointing to diligent maintenance throughout the cars life.

Accompanying the file are all the MOT certificates back to 2005 helping the verify the cars mileage. Being highly specified from new this car benefits from heated seats, digital climate control, electric seats and electric folding mirrors whilst ascetically the car looks fantastic sitting on the desirable AMG ‘mono bloc’ style alloy wheels.
