Starting its life at Lotus engineering this Elise was destined to be part of an all-new project for an Automatic Elise programme. The programme fell through and the run of cars allocated were sold partially disassembled and unregistered to Stratton Motor Company. Stratton completed the vehicles, building them to an original standard not with an automatic gearbox and registered them as Stratton Motorsport cars. This particular example has just 21,000 miles on the clock and is finished in the ever so elegant Nightfall Blue. A deep metallic blue that looks fantastic in contrast with the bright silver metallic multi-spoke wheels. The paintwork has received a three-stage machine polish prior to sale and the wheels have been professionally refurbished. The bodywork presents in fantastic condition with only the most minor of age-related marks since the car was first registered in October 2013. Fitted with the 1.6 litre engine the 16V Elise is loved by enthusiasts for its high and free revving nature.
