We’re currently completing a restoration of this California spec, LHD 1970 280SL Pagoda with automatic transmission. Despite being off the road for many years, the shell was largely corrosion free, having been found in a barn in Mexico. The shell has been built to concours standard, freshly painted in its original colour of DB 050 white and is currently in the final stages of re-fit. The engine has had the best rebuild possible, and the car has been visually converted to European spec (comprising deleting the side markers and fitting European spec headlamps and bumpers). The interior is yet to be re-trimmed, which leaves it in an ideal position to be tailored to a prospective buyer’s requirements.
